Testing for students could be cut in half with a bill that has been proposed. House Bill 228 would cut the testing as early as next school year so that teachers can spend more time teaching rather than time testing. The amount of time spent testing is becoming an ever growing concern for parents and teachers because of possible changes with Common Core that would spike testing times. Those pushing for the bill have said that with less testing teachers will be able to spend less time on testing curriculum.
