Kroger growing Simple Truth line with plant-based collection

Columbus’ best large grocery store is growing its natural and organic product line to better cater to emerging diet trends.

Kroger’s Simple Truth collection will be adding new offerings this fall including meatless burger patties and plant-based cookie dough, pasta sauces, sausages, deli slices, dips and other products, reports Columbus Business First.

Customers can identify items in the new Simple Truth Plant Based collection by a distinct “Plant Based” icon on the packaging.

“As more of our customers embrace a flexitarian lifestyle, choosing to prioritize healthier food choices and reduce their environmental footprint, we are excited to meet their needs,” said Gil Phipps, Kroger’s vice president of Our Brands, at the Good Food Conference in San Francisco.
