Franklinton house fire leaves two unharmed
Update: Using the “friend of a friend, of a friend” approach, 614Now has learned that one of the cats has been found safe, but there’s no word on the other one.
Early this morning, around 1:30AM, a (possible electrical) fire broke out in the basement of a Franklinton home along S Yale Ave. The two men who lived in the house were watching TV upstairs when they heard a pop and lost power. They went down to the basement to check it out and saw flames, which is when they left the house. Aside from a firefighter who suffered minor injuries after falling through the floor, no injuries were reported. Although the men’s two cats, Franklin and Clarence, are still missing. (deb)
