Every year on June 14, people from around Ohio’s Capital City celebrate all things Columbus.

In honor of—or more accurately in spite of—our fine city’s seemingly never-ending road construction in the warmer months, (614) has partnered with CRMD to create a new ice cream flavor for a limited time.

(614) Rocky Roadways, a play on the beloved rocky road—starts with a marshmallow ice cream base and chewy marshmallow chunks, alongside dark chocolate bark, crunchy pretzel pieces and ground Oreos pieces representing a pothole-ridden Columbus road.

On June 14, 25 percent of profits from each scoop of (614) Rocky Roadways and any cone it’s paired with will be donated to Kaleidoscope Youth Center. Both CRMD locations are participating.

Additionally, you’ll be able to sample 614 Lager (from Wolf’s Ridge Brewing) and the recently-released 614 Vodka (from High Banks Distillery Co.) at CRMD from 5-8 p.m. The Upper Arlington Giant Eagle Market District located in the Kingsdale Shopping Center will also hold a tasting of 614 Lager from 4-7 p.m. on 614 Day.

Speaking of Wolf’s Ridge Brewing Co., the longtime Columbus craft brewery will be celebrating 614 Day with a party of its own at its Downtown taproom. The brewery will kick off a 614 Day party at 4 p.m., offering glitter-filled cocktails using 614 Vodka, homemade sherbet floats using 614 Lager, door prizes and more.
