Hyde Park is moving in
It’s official. Hyde Park is moving into the old Cup O’ Joe space after they bought their liquor license last month. While it is smaller than their other restaurants that are already on the Cap, the owners like the large patio space, Columbus Business First reported.
They have not yet announced what the plan is for the new space but do have an idea in mind.

Master of The Cap
Hyde Park has snatched up another piece of the Cap in the Short North with the purchase of Cup O’ Joe’s liquor license. With Hyde Park, Eleven and Black Point the company is seemingly pushing its reach into all of the Cap. While for now it’s just the liquor license, it seems inevitable that they will grab the space as well. The way it sits now, the only space on the Cap that isn’t part of Hyde Park is Bar 23.

Cup O Joe’s MoJoe Lounge gone for good
For a decade Mojoe Lounge, the coffee-bar concept created by Cup O Joe, has sat in the “Cap” of the Short North. Sunday, it closed for good. “After the economic recession and the changes to the parking situation in the Short North we never really recovered at that location,” Cup O Joe President Mark Swanson said, according to Columbus Underground. “We’ll be wrapping things up this weekend, with Sunday as our final day.” A surplus of parking in the Short North has been a thing of the past for years, and when a parking lot was swallowed by The Joseph hotel, it hasn’t been easy to make up for that loss.
