Tuesday was set to be the big day for Grandview Yard’s Hofbräuhaus, but because of construction issues, that time frame is being pushed back to Tuesday. The massive brewery is still set to open by the end of the month though (hopefully). The interior is being decorated with art shipped straight out of Germany. Once open, Hofbräuhaus will tap regular beers as well as rotating seasonal beers.

Tons of beer: Hofbräuhaus opening 800-person brewery
Hofbräuhaus is set for an Oct. 21 opening, and the newest addition to the Grandview Yard area (and adding even more construction) is going to be massive. The restaurant/brewery/beer garden is slated to hold about 800 people, according to Columbus Business First. The brewery brand is based off the Munich beers (brewing since 1589), but the Grandview location will be run by Cincinnati based Nick Ellison and Eric Haas. So far the brewery is planning on offering a light lager, lager, dunkel and hefeweizen. All of the beers (other than speciality ones) will be brewed on site, and Monday it took quite a delivery with a lot of the equipment needed to start brewing by September for the October opening.
