Loud Rt. 23 work rescheduled for Monday
The construction that was supposed to take place over the weekend has been pushed to Monday and Tuesday because of equipment availability (maybe noisy projects are taking over the city everywhere). Steel beams will soon be forced into the Rt. 23 bridge that goes over I-270, and the effects will be quite loud, according to the Dispatch. ODOT is planning to close one lane each way beginning at 7 p.m. on I-270 near I-71. The lanes will generally reopen around 5 a.m. but those lane closures will continue through the week.

North Side construction to be earsplitting
There’s more news on the I-270-Rt. 33 interchange: it’s about to get loud. The roadwork that has taken over north Columbus will now be adding in supports to the Rt. 23 bridge over I-270, and travelers are being warned that it will be noisy. Additionally lanes off I-270 will be closed off so the support beams can be put into place. “Doing it during the day Saturday gives them more time to work. It’s less disruptive, that noise, during the day than it would be overnight,” said an ODOT spokeswoman, according to the Dispatch.
