After Amber Alert + home barricade, man pleads guilty

Jamie Overstreet pleaded guilty to a laundry list of charges including five counts of felonious assault, two counts each of kidnapping and abduction, one count each of disrupting public services and attempted abduction and three counts of domestic violence. These were connected to an incident when he was accused of kidnapping his children after crashing into their mother’s car, an Amber Alert was issued and he barricaded himself into a home until the SWAT team took him into custody.

$500k bond for Amber Alert kidnapping suspect

The father who is the suspect in a recent Amber Alert kidnapping has had bond set at $500,000. The father, Jamie Overstreet, is facing charges of two felony counts of kidnapping, and five counts of felonious assault. According to NBC4, his preliminary hearing is slated for Aug. 22. His children that he allegedly took were 4 and 6 years old and were located Saturday.

Suspect in weekend Amber Alert barricaded in home

UPDATE: A SWAT team has taken Jamie Overstreet into custody.

According to 10TV, the man who is the suspect concerning the Amber Alert that was issued over the weekend has barricaded himself in a home on the east side. Police have said 27-year-old Jamie Overstreet will not leave the home. The station reported the mother of the suspect was threatening suicide and had a gun. While the children have been recovered since the alert, the man allegedly took his two children following an accident into the mother’s car.
