Bringing farm to city: Franklin County Fair

Bringing farm to city: Franklin County Fair

Take a step outside of Columbus, and (not shockingly) you’ll find quite a bit of farmland, and the Franklin County Fair brought a lot of that farm into town over the weekend. With events like a choreographed equestrian show, horse races to the dockdogs, where dogs jump into a large pool competing in several events. “For kids that live in town and don’t get a chance to go out on a farm, it’s a great opportunity to learn what the animals are. They can touch them, pet them, and say, ‘I met a farmer today,'” Franklin County Fair Board member JohnHay told NBC4. The fair runs through July 19 in Hilliard.
