Giant Eagle landlord unsure of future on Fifth Ave
As one opens and another closes, there is still some confusion with the transitioning Giant Eagle locations in Grandview. The landlord of the 5th Avenue space says he hasn’t heard from the grocery company. The store on 5th Avenue is set to close after Labor Day, but hasn’t contacted the owner yet, according to Columbus Business First. Giant Eagle still has four more years in the lease at the 5th Avenue location, and the route it will take with the space is up to them.

Giant Eagle closing in Grandview for new Market District
Construction is beginning to dominate the landscape of Grandview and as the final touches are put on the Giant Eagle Market District opening near the Grandview Yard, the Giant Eagle at 5th Avenue and Grandview Avenue is closing up. The store will be closed before the second opens. According to Columbus Business First, many of the workers at the 5th Avenue grocery store are planning to move with the operation to the Giant Eagle Market District once it opens in September.
