For hours early Monday morning, numerous fire crews worked to put out the flames at Holderby’s Tavern on the west side. It took about four hours to put the fire out at the bar and six people had to escape the apartments neighboring the bar. Because of the fire, 2,770 are currently without power (down from the 3,200 at 7 a.m.) and Hilltonia Middle School and West Mound Elementary School are closed and without power.
