Investigations continue on vacant house fires

UPDATE: Investigators are looking into a fire on South Richardson Avenue that occurred early Thursday morning. Another fire happened at the same place early Tuesday morning, and the two fires may have been related. “While it seems extremely likely that they are connected, we don’t want to assume that either,” a Columbus Division of Fire Spokeswoman said according to ABC6. Another fire happened July 4 at the house, but was ruled as an accident, according to the station. Some of the neighbors on the street fear the other vacant homes in the area might be targeted. There are no suspects in the case and investigators said there isn’t reason for belief in a serial arsonist.
