New Albany Police app: giving residents info

MyPD, a police app, is bringing information to New Albany residents and users can also submit tips and ask questions, according to ThisWeek Community News. What it can’t do: give quick responses. New Albany police stressed that the app won’t replace 911 and residents cannot get a fast response from it. It’s a bridge between police and people though and so far about 200 people have downloaded the app and the majority of the interactions are concerning construction (because downtown New Albany is a sea of orange cones right now).
