Clippers take Game 2, one win away from title

baseballnowI don’t remember a time in recent history when so many people were talking about the Columbus Clippers. With the team advancing to the Governors’ Cup Finals and the club offering free tickets and dime-a-dog nights all this week, the stadium has been packed. And with butts in the seats, the guys on the field certainly have given those crowds something special to cheer about.

Wednesday night, the Clippers hosted the Indianapolis Indians in Game 2 of their best-of-5 series. Columbus held off a late rally by the Indians to win the game 5 – 4. The victory gives the Clippers a 2 – 0 advantage in the series and leaves them just one win away from winning the title. The series moves to Indianapolis tonight.

Last night’s Game 2 was the final home game of the season for the Clippers. Here’s hoping that when the team takes the Huntington Park field again in April of 2016 that some of those fans that came out this week just for the ten cent dogs will return to see more quality baseball.

LET’S GO CLIPPERS!  (jj)
