Surveillance video shows the two men (possibly in their teens) trespassing last Thursday night at Green Lawn Cemetery (1000 Green Lawn Avenue). The pair came across a dump truck in which an employee had inadvertently left the keys. The men climbed in and took a joyride through the grounds, knocking over and destroying dozens of grave markers. Some of those stones, according to Green Lawn, were incredibly old and are deemed historically significant. The damage totals well into the thousands.
At the end of their ride, the young men left the damaged truck and their path of damage behind as they ran away from the scene.
