Local boy battled lifelong illness, caught celebrity attention, passes away

14 year-old Brock Johnson of Canal Winchester has died. The local teen battled an autoimmune disease since birth though his exact ailment was never clearly diagnosed. He was not expected to live beyond the age of one but surprised everyone by going far beyond those predictions. In recent years, his story caught the attention of sports stars and Hollywood elite. In April, he was a guest of Robert Downey Jr in Hollywood at the premiere of “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
