Details announced for Hillary Clinton appearance in Columbus
Weeks after five Republican presidential candidates came to town to speak at a GOP gathering, the Democratic frontrunner is now on her way.
Clinton will hold a “Women for Clinton” event on Thursday at the Columbus Athenaeum. Doors will open at 8:30am with the program starting at 9:45. Mrs. Clinton’s speech is expected to be wrapped up by 11:15.
The event is billed as a “grassroots organizing meeting.”
Ohio is traditionally a Clinton-friendly state. Former President Bill Clinton carried the state in the general elections of 1992 and 1996 and Hillary won the Democratic presidential primary in 2008. (jj)
