Numbers Don’t Lie: We Love Columbus Brewing Co. In Ohio

It’s no secret that we here in Ohio have a very fond relationship with beer. It’s simple, it’s consistent, and the sweet buzz of a few brews always fights off bad mojo from a long day of work.

Luckily enough for us Ohioans, we have the pleasure of having a magnitude of local breweries in the area. Between Four Strings, Sevenths Sons, Rhinegeist, and Jackie O’s; Ohio is pretty well covered in all corners in regard to where our beer is coming from. But what’s our favorite? The cream of the crop? Budweiser might claim to be the king of beers, but in Ohio, Columbus Brewing Co. holds the crown, according to a report from the Columbus Dispatch.

That’s right. We love your holiday ales, but Great Lakes will have to try again next year and sorry about your luck, Rhinegeist. According to Google search trends dug up by BuisnessBroker.net, us Ohioans are quite the homers when it comes to our cold ones. The research on the search from BusinessBroker also found that Ohioans collectively have a soft spot for lagers—as does our neighbors Michigan and Pennsylvania as well as South Dakota, Missouri, and Mississippi.

So do you agree with this information? Does this accurately describe your drinking preferences or are you a tried and true Four Strings IPA drinker? Let us know your favorites in the comments!
