Trump’s Visa Overhaul Could Impact Local Employers
President Trump’s plan to push an executive order to overhaul the visa system concerning H-1B, business visitor visas, investor visas and work visas might impact some Columbus and Dublin based companies.
Specifically the HB-1 visa program grants a career pathway for qualified and intelligent individuals abroad. Columbus and Dublin are among the highest in Ohio in terms of hiring H-1B visa holders.
While Trump’s plan is vague and no one knows exactly what type of impact it might have, CNN reported that Matthew Dunn, a business immigration partner at Kramer Levin, fears that if the process is clamped down, businesses stand to loose valuable workers that create American jobs.
