Local mom accused of stabbing baby to death

A teenage mother is being accused of stabbing her one-year-old baby girl to death over the weekend.

NBC4i reports officials saying how horrible and gruesome the scene was on Sunday at a home on South 22nd Street.

Police were initially called on a report of an infant not moving. One-year-old Lalanna Sharpe was found with multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at Nationwide Children’s.

Her mother, 17-year-old Lachelle Anderson was arrested for the murder and has been held in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Facility since Sunday.
