Franklinton fed up: Should homeless camps take a hike?

As Franklinton is beginning to really hit their revival stride, some say homeless camps are putting a damper on things.

The camps are near the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks to the north but people meander down the way to panhandle and cause other disruptions like petty theft and public urination. The Dispatch reports that business owners are fed up with the homeless harassing their customers, intimidating their staff, and ultimately negatively affecting their operations.

Business owners have voiced their opinions so much that the Franklinton Board of Trade is hosting a meeting tomorrow night at Lifecare Alliance to assess the homelessness situation.

For more details on the meeting, visit The Dispatch.
