Update: Two days ago, Gresso’s Restaurant & Bar made a Facebook post saying anyone in attendance who stands during the national anthem prior to the Steelers game this Sunday would receive 50 percent off their food bill. After 83 shares and over 100 comments—some supportive, some not so much—Gresso’s has retreated and come back with a different offer.
What do you think of this move?
09/26/2017: Along with several photos of America’s service members including those of cops, firefighters, and Steelers player Alejandro Villanueva, Gresso’s Restaurant & Bar posted on Facebook that anyone who stands for the national anthem prior to the Steelers game this Sunday will receive 1/2 food.
“This Sunday, Gresso’s will be honoring our Heroes in uniform. We are proud to support the men and women who serve and have served this great country. We will be proudly playing “The Star Spangled Banner” prior to the Pittsburgh Steeler kick-off. Those in attendance who stand and remove their hats will receive 50% off their food tab. Veterans, active military, law enforcement and first responders will receive a free meal. God bless the USA!!”
Are you cool with this? Will you be getting 1/2 off food on Sunday? Will you rather pay full price?
