#Love614: Our date night crystal ball sees art, BBQ sauce, and jazz in your near future
By Jeni Ruisch
When you’ve long ago stopped counting the number of dates you’ve been on, and you start bickering about who has to load the dishwasher, it’s time to shake it up a little bit! Show your more-than-just roommate that you still have an ace up your sleeve. Take a half-day off work Friday, and spend some time taking the city by storm.
Meet Up:
You know how you guys always say you should see more art?
Now’s your chance.
Fridays at noon, the Columbus Museum of Art has walk-in tours. You can take a stroll with a docent, who can give you a crash course in art appreciation, and give you pointers on how to view the pieces in the museum, like which way to tip your head when looking at a painting, and what “Tempera” means.

Moving Right Along:
It’s (614)’s Restaurant Week! And you know what that means! You can head out on the town and have a multi-course meal with your honey, for less-than-usual money. Try hundreds of special items at restaurants around the city. Mezzo in Dublin has beautiful warm decor and the most amazing spicy mussel and sausage pasta. You can get this entree, plus an appetizer and a dessert for a special price. Don’t forget the wine pairings!

Time to Cut Loose:
This weekend is Columbus’s favorite time of year to eat hot ribs and see cool jazz! Save room in your belly, and take a stroll down the waterfront. Let the smell of barbeque guide you. Dance your dinner off to the sounds of Urban Jazz Coalition, Kenny Garrett Quintet, and Dr. E. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, try out one of the 23 award-winning barbeque teams.
