Most trotted trail getting long overdue update next spring

One of the most beloved and trodded trails in the city is getting a facelift. Olentangy Trail, which 10TV estimated gets 300,000 visits annually, is set to have work done starting spring 2019.

The trail will be widened to accommodate even more adventurers and relieve congestion. One of the members of the Columbus Recreation and Parks disclosed all the changes coming to 10TV, claiming they are long overdue. Parts of the road will be widened up to 4-feet, while adding barriers on both sides will ensure the safety of trail-goers.

Plus, the community will soon be able to take advantage of a new path along Bethel Road. A new route will be added under State Route 315 that will connect Anheuser-Busch Park to the Olentangy Trail.

The 14-month long project is expected to kick off next spring.
