Though many only do it for the sake of a cute social media photo, apple-picking season is actually an amazing way to spend your hard-earned dollars on quality produce while also patronizing a local business.

Here are the top places to snatch some fruit this weekend:

CherryHawk Farm Apple Orchard

16220 Springdale Rd, Marysville

Open 11-7 through the end of this Monday, Labor Day. Picking plenty of McIntosh, Gala and the remaining Honeycrisp until they sell out.

Sunflowers are at their peak; 1 free with purchase, otherwise $1 a stem.

Lynd Fruit Farm

9399 Morse Rd SW, Pataskala

5499 Sportsmanclub Rd, Johnstown

U-Pick Gala at the Pataskala farm will run Friday – Sunday (Aug. 31-Sept. 2, 9am- 6pm), while supplies last.

U-Pic CLOSED on LABOR DAY, but market will be open 9-7, as it is every

2018 Gala apples are ready for picking.

Apples can be picked until further notice, U-pick Mon-Sat 9-5  and Sun 10-4, $1.75 per pound with a $10 minimum U-pick purchase.
