Save the date for Upper Arlington Brassica grand opening

Brassica has announced the date of their Upper Arlington grand opening!

The restaurant, known best for its Eastern Mediterranean-style pita sandwiches and salads, will open its UA store on Friday, January 18, 2019.

It will be located at 1442 West Lane Avenue.

The location offers ample parking, patio seating for when warm weather returns, and plenty of spots for bicycles (in tribute to the former tenant, Trek Bicycles).

The original Brassica opened in 2015 in the Short North and a Bexley location followed last summer.

“We are incredibly excited and grateful to have the opportunity to open Brassica in Upper Arlington. My wife and I bought our first home in UA in 2007, and we have lived here ever since” said Kevin Malhame, owner of Brassica with his wife Katy and brother Darren. “The menu choices, especially the delicious veggies, the homemade hummus, and the just-baked pita, are inspired by the food we grew up eating with our Lebanese grandparents. We’re honored to share these recipes and food memories with our neighbors and the terrific surrounding community.”

Malhame added that Brassica’s recipes are also healthy.

“My grandfather lived into his mid nineties eating this way,” he said.

Guests can indulge in a wide variety of vegetables including kale, cauliflower, cabbages, marinated eggplant, roasted carrots, falafel, and more.

Meat lovers have the option of house-cured lamb bacon, delicious roasted chicken, and all-natural Niman Ranch brisket that is braised daily and served until it runs out.

Brassica’s wine director Jen O’Leary, who lived in Napa Valley before returning to Columbus to join Brassica and Northstar, has put together a small but mighty list of wines by the glass and bottle to wash down your salad or pita.

Following the Grand Opening on January 18th, 2019, Brassica will be open seven days a week from 11am until 10pm daily.
