“Big LGBTQ Dance Party” to greet Pence upon arrival in Columbus
Our notoriously anti-LGBTQ+ vice president, Mike Pence, will be paying a visit to Columbus to address the America First Policies at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel on Friday which, coincidently, coincides with Pride.
Quite serendipitous, isn’t it?
What’s more, activists and performers are planning a “Big LGBTQ Dance Party” from 2- 5pm outside the hotel to usher him into Columbus culture.
So far, the Facebook event has garnered 553 “Going” RSVPs and 1.8k “Interested” RSVPs.

Eleven drag queens and DJs have confirmed their attendance including Virginia West, Sable Coate, and DJ Moxy.
The event also reminds participants to:
- Stay off the streets and on the sidewalk
- Obey the law
- Be nice and don’t engage counter protesters
- Keep our city clean
- Show your Pride!
