FB event: “Protest OSU Closing Bars By Refilling Mirror Lake”

In wake of the news of Ugly Tuna in the Gateway closing up, a defiant event for OSU students has popped up on Facebook.

It’s called “Protest OSU Closing Bars By Refilling Mirror Lake” and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

“On May 5th at 2PM, join us by bringing 1 gallon of water (or any amount you can) to refill Mirror Lake in defiance of OSU sucking the fun out of everything,” the event description reads. “Your voice matters and every drop of water counts. Be there to make a difference!”

It appears the event is mostly for satirical purposes but goes to show students are interested in sticking it to campus officials who’ve stripped away their favorite drinking holes and landmarks.
