Ka-Ching! Ohio Is Raising Minimum Wage By 15 Cents!

Minimum wage workers and servers rejoice, you’re finally getting that damn raise you so longed for!

According to a report from Fox 8 in Cleveland, Ohio’s hourly minimum wage was raised by 15 cents on Jan. 1 bringing the current pay from $8.15/hour to $8.30/hour. Servers, you too get a bump in your hourly pay taking you from $4.08/hour to $4.15/hour. Now only if we could get people to tip better, amirite?

Ohio stands as one of 18 states in 2018 who will raise their pay. Of the other 18 states bumping the pay, Ohio’s minimum wage ranks among the lowest of the options. The lowest, Missouri, will raise their minimum wage to $7.85/hour while the highest, Seattle, Washington, will be paying their minimum wage employees $15.45. Meanwhile more regional neighbors such as Michigan will be paying their employees $9.25/hour and New York will have some locations paying upwards of $13/hour.
