Remembering Chris Bradley: A gracious, faithful leader in the community

10TV Meteorologist Chris Bradley passed away Wednesday afternoon after 21 months of battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

He was 53.

But, thanks to his unwavering faith, he never saw death as the true end.

“Knowing that God loves you and that you’re saved, and that you have eternal life. And when you realize that, it’s not really an end. it’s a new beginning,” he said in the video, per 10TV.

One of his las public statements was in partnership with the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Watch below.

Chris was also a leader in the community in many ways.

For years, he and his family rode and raised money in Pelotonia.

This year, his leukemia sidelined him, but he took the time to create a video, thanking and encouraging all the riders.

Chris’ video was sent to all Pelotonia participants the night before the ride.

Chris lead by example in the LGBT community, as well.

When Chris and his husband Jason made their relationship public, it was not without risk, according to 10TV.

“The essence of Chris and Jason both, is that they want to live authentically and genuinely. And Chris being a public figure on TV, if you’re going to be genuine and authentic, then that means being genuine and authentic everywhere. And so they kind of took a deep breath and started doing that,” said Pastor Don Wallick of King Avenue United Methodist, per 10TV.

Chris also showed became a role model in the community by emceeing the Kaleidoscope Youth Center for LGBTQ youth’s annual Garden Party fundraiser.

But more than anything, Chris was a kind and gracious person who touched so many lives during his 53 years on this earth.

Here are some condolences from the 10TV family:
