Yolanda Harris: “Some of you are just downright mean bullies”
“STOP THE BULLYING. It’s hurtful and unnecessary,” Yolanda Harris of 10TV wrote on Facebook in response to hateful messages directed towards her on social media.
To make themselves more accessible to their viewers/fans, 10TV likes to do “behind-the-scenes” Facebook live videos during newscasts. On Friday, the haters were taking to their keyboards in full force during one of these videos.
“Good grief what is this every day we have to watch her powdering her face. She is always in her makeup bag and primping. They really think they are stars, don’t they? She looks old since she left Channel 6 and Fox News. She is not as bubbly or fun as she used to be.”
And that was just one comment.
But Yolanda had had enough of the negativity. She took to her own Facebook to address the hate.
“I am most disappointed in you women. We, as women, have enough to deal with and don’t need to hear other women tearing us down and of all things bashing our looks. Shame on you! Grow up! Try doing your job under a microscope while people pick you apart for every move you make. It ain’t fun.”
She ended the post with “I hope someone learns something from this post. Life is short. Learn to be kinder.”
