Faking Bad: Local man garners national attention for viral prank

Ever pull a prank that went a little too far? Did it almost cost you $150,000? That’s exactly the kind of penalty Columbus man Josh Herald was facing when a Breaking Bad-inspired April Fool’s joke got away from him in 2016.

Now, Vice Media has featured Herald in a video examining this epic case of foolery, which involved meth, some very slick video production, and a lawsuit for Herald leveled by the city’s local CBS affiliate.
