Is Kroger ghosting Upper Arlington property it purchased 5 years ago?

Is Kroger ghosting the former Macy’s building at Kingsdale Shopping Center it purchased in 2015? After five years of virtually no activity, many people in Upper Arlington are left questioning.

This Week News reports the grocery store giant has not submitted plans for redeveloping the 6.2-acre property after purchasing it for $10.5 million.

Originally, Kroger representatives alluded to plans for a mixed-use develop on the site, but the only pursuit in the last five years has been repairing potholes and clearing weeds in the parking lot, reports This Week News.

Reportedly, Upper Arlington remains in communication with Kroger about the site, but no projects have been disclosed.
