An upcoming Columbus performance is taking COVID-era comedy tours for a test drive.

Nationally renowned stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress has added a second Columbus show to his aptly named “Let’s See How This Goes” tour Sept. 26. The short tour will take the Chicago-based comic through five Midwest cities, where he will perform live and in person at drive-in movie theaters.

Tickets will be priced based on the number of occupants in each car, with the price per head ranging from $32 to $50. Special passes may be bought to guarantee a parking spot in the first four rows. Currently, the 7 p.m. show is sold out, but the 10 p.m. show has tickets available at all prices. Be sure to check the ticketing website for the performance which has a comprehensive list of strict rules to keep guests safe and prevent exposure to COVID-19.

Buress is best known for his supporting role on Adult Swim’s surrealist late-night talk show, “The Eric Andre Show.” The tour comes on the heels of Buress’s “Miami Nights” comedy special, released for free on YouTube, which addressed his infamous 2017 arrest in Miami.
