October 2021

Jack McLaughlin

So here we are. The beginning of October, when the weather is still mild enough for short sleeves, but all of the best fall activities are right at our fingertips. We’re not throwing any shade at summer here, but some might refer to this as the best time of the year.

So we suggest you take the advice plastered across the cover of our October 2021 issue, and get lost in the wide world of Ohio outdoor recreation while you can.

Need a few suggestions about where to start? We’ve got you covered. You can consult the magazine for a list of great apple-picking spots, corn mazes, and even some premiere Ohio hikes outside of the Hocking Hills. This issue even offers a deep-dive into the hotly-anticipated Quarry Trails Metro Park, from its historical roots to unique opportunities for mountain biking and watersports.

And when you work up an appetite from all that activity, we’ve got the skinny on a new food truck slinging gourmet sandwiches, plus a breakdown of the local oktoberfest brews you need to try.

Happy trails, Columbus.
