It’s time to get your glass blowing on, Columbus.

Franklin Park Conservatory’s Hot Shop has reopened, and live demonstrations are available between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily with admission.

If you’re like us though and want to try your own hand at the task, the Conservatory also has Hot Shop classes and Personal Glassblowing Sessions open to everyone 10 and up. You’ll even get a piece of artwork to take home with you (though they have to cool overnight).

The Conservatory also came up with a new way of glass blowing to prevent the spread of COVID-19: Instead of classmates sharing a pipe, the Conservatory purchased an alternative inflation device that uses forced air for the glass blowing process.

On to the fun stuff, though. Here are the classes coming up this spring and summer:

Ornaments/Witches Ball: 6-9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays in April, $60, $54 for members

Terrariums (includes plant kit): 6-9 p.m. Thursdays in May, June, and July, $80, $72 for members

Hummingbird Feeders: 6-9 p.m. Fridays in May, June, and July, $80, $72 for members

Vessels (Sizzling Saturdays): 6-9 p.m. Saturdays in April, $100, $90 for members

Personal Glassblowing sessions: 4-6 p.m. or 6-9 p.m., $275, $250 for members
