LA-based Donut chain opening first central Ohio location next month

The mochi takeover of Columbus continues.

After announcing its plans to open a Grandview storefront this summer, the mochi donut chain Mochinut plans to open its doors in mid-December, although an exact date was not shared.

The Grandview Mochinut is located at 994 W. 5th Ave.

The concept will offer a variety of “Instagram-worthy” mochi donuts (which are made from rice flour and are typically chewier than yeast or cake donuts, Korean corn dogs and more. The new store’s interior will feature bright, modern designs, cozy nooks to grab a bite or bubble tea and even donut shaped tables, because why not?

This will be the Los Angeles-based chain’s first location in central Ohio, and its second Buckeye State storefront. Mochinut opened a Cleveland-area shop earlier this year, and its grand opening saw lines of two hours.
