Ride the Polar Bear Express or take in millions of LED lights on display at this holiday event
Now in its 33rd year of operation, Wildlights, the massive, annual holiday lights display from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, has officially kicked off its 2021 season. Wildlights opened to Zoo members yesterday, and will open to the public today. The family-friendly will run until Jan. 2.
Wildlights sees the entire zoo transformed into a “winter wonderland”, with millions of LED lights festooned across the grounds.
Visitors can take in train rides across zoo exhibits, camel rides, animated lights displays, and even a s’mores station, which is back this year by popular demand.
The event provides a Santa experience for children as well. Located at the Battelle Ice Bear Outpost, kids can meet Santa and even take a photo. This will be available until Dec. 23.
