Dick’s Sporting Goods is opening a brand-new outdoor retail store at Polaris Fashion Place this fall. Known as Public Lands, the outfitter will occupy the former Field & Stream store, located at 1510 Polaris Pkwy.

Originally scheduled to open in October, the store will hold its official grand opening celebration from Nov. 5 until Nov. 7.

The new Dick’s concept boasts a loose National Parks theme, with a focus on sustainability and protection of land. One percent of the store’s sales will be donated to the Public Lands Fund.

The storefront will serve as a spot where customers can outfit themselves for everything from a trip to the most rugged National Parks, to an actual walk in the park. It will feature a wide variety of outdoor clothing, footwear for hiking, climbing, and more, in addition to outdoor equipment from a number of different brands.

It will also offer specialized sections for biking, camping, climbing, fishing, skiing, and more, in addition to space for gear rental and repair.

And you’ll be able to try some of your new gear out in action, as well, as the store will also boast a 30-foot climbing wall for customers to take on.
