An opening date has finally been set for the only sober bar in Columbus

After months of anticipation, we finally know when The Dry Mill—a new, entirely alcohol-free bar—will open.

According to co-owners Dave Payne and Collin Thomas, the sober bar will hold its grand opening on Feb. 5.

The Dry Mill is located downtown, at 79 S. 4th St.

“We’re very excited to have a date set.  Collin and myself and our GM, we’ve been working very hard the last few months on the space,” Payne said. “We’ve had so much positive feedback, and we want to create something the city of Columbus will be proud of.”

The new sober bar will serve non-alcoholic cocktails and beer (including craft options from BrewDog), coffee, and more.

According to Payne, The Dry Mill will be a haven for those who have given up drinking, but it will also be a social spot where everyone is welcome.

“We want this to be the sober hangout for people who don’t drink, but we also want it to be a place for people who just want to get away from alcohol for a night and still have a good time,” he said.
