Beloved bakery to close German Village location
Dough Mama announced today via social that their German Village location will close after this weekend.
The 730 S. High St. location opened this past August. Dough Mama also has a Clintonville location at 3335 N. High St.

According to the post on social media, the German Village closure wasn’t done for financial reasons. Owner Perrie Wilkof said in her post that she was feeling burnt out by running two businesses.
“This fall I will be attending Ohio State for a Masters in Social Work, and looking into the future, I have to recognize my limits and know running two locations will not be possible,” Wilkof said in the post.
The Clintonville location, which she described in the post as “thriving,” will begin dine-in service May 8. Beginning May 11, that location will expand hours to be open six days per week.
“Our time down south has been absolutely incredible; you welcomed us with so much warmth and excitement, and we will be forever grateful for the experience,” Wilkof’s post reads in part.
