New Vietnamese food truck ready to roll later this year

Although Jami Pham’s new food truck, Phamily Eats, won’t be on the street until likely the end of the year, this summer you’ll be able to start seeing her Vietnamese street food pop up at markets and smaller community events.

Pham said her husband Vu, who is first-generation Vietnamese, is where she found inspiration for her new business.

“The food is so fresh, and the culture has such a family element to it that [it] is just one of my favorite cuisine[s],” she said.

For now, Phamily Eats will offer Bahn Mi, a grilled sub sandwich with pork, beef, or veggies that’s topped with fresh cilantro, cucumbers, pickled carrots, daikon radish, and jalapenos.

Pham said the sandwich is a very common breakfast item.

“It’s also very hot in Vietnam, so iced coffee is the obvious pairing, and very traditional there,” she said.

Phamily Eats will offer a strong French roast mixed with sweetened condensed milk and shaken over ice.

“It’s super rich and creamy,” she said.
