Pop-up bakery will get its own space

Isabella Bonello has wanted her own bake shop since she was a teenager.

Now, she’s making her goal a reality. Three Bites Bakery, which has held pop-ups Fridays and Saturdays at 700 Bryden Rd., this summer will get its very own brick-and-mortar location at 999 Mt. Vernon Ave.

“It’s literally my dream come true,” Bonello said.

Three Bites is tentatively set to open at the beginning of June. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The space will include limited dine-in seating.

Three Bites offers a variety of croissant dough pastries, as well as fun cookies like Bonello’s Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies. Bonello said her cake and pastry offerings will likely expand, and she’ll offer small sandwiches at the new space as well.

Exposing the community to Italian and Filipino food has always been Bonello’s goal. Three Bites had been a side project until she lost her job at L Brands due to COVID-19.

“It kind of forced me to just see what I could make happen,” she said.

After Bonello quickly outgrew her home kitchen, she decided to expand.

“This opportunity just kind of was presented to me,” she said.
