See how Columbus ranked in a list of best cities for pizza addicts
Columbus, we know you feel passionately about your pizza.
So it’s no surprise to us that our city performed pretty admirably in LawnStarter’s study exploring this year’s best cities for pizza addicts.
Out of 100 cities across the country, Columbus ranked a respectable 16th, with an overall score of 35.23.

To come up with their rankings, LawnStarter looked at 100 of the biggest cities in the U.S. measuring their pizza prowess according to five metrics: the total number of pizza businesses per 100,000 residents, the average cost of pizza, the search interest for pizza delivery, the search interest for pizza delivery compared to food delivery, and the Instagram popularity of pizza businesses.
The top-scoring city, of course, was New York City, with a whopping overall score of 58.92. Chicago followed at a close second with a score of 52.62.
Ohio overall had a pretty strong showing. Cincinnati scored fourth (!) with a score of 47.37. Cleveland also managed to get a spot in the top 10, coming in at ninth place with a score of 38.93.
The worst city for pizza addicts? That honor goes to Fremont, California, with a score of 5.68. We’ll stay right here in Ohio, thanks.
We support all pies, whatever you decide to top them with. So great is our love for all things pizza that we’ll again be holding Pizza & Beer week this April. Stay tuned.
