The Maifest you won’t want to miss
Do you ever feel like Oktoberfest should be held multiple times per year? We have the solution, and it’s Maifest.
Hosted by Columbus Maennerchor, this spring version of Oktoberfest is happening from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at Valters at the Maennerchor, 976 S. High St. The day will be packed with live music, German beer and wine, traditional festival food, and drinking games like Nageln and Stein Holding.

While it was traditional for workers to hold a large spring festival to celebrate the conclusion of the planting season, Columbus Maennerchor is this year celebrating a break from the dumpster fire that was 2020 and ushering in the return of outdoor events.
Because this is a Maifest, that also means that the Maibaum (maypole) will be making an appearance. BRB, just dreaming of being crowned Mayqueen.
