Tickets on sale for Girl Scout cookie pairing

Sarah Sole

Heads up, Girl Scout cookie fans.

The Oak & Brazen Wine Co. is selling tickets for its annual Girl Scout cookie and wine pairing, to be held the weekend of March 13.

Managing Partner Amy Bresler said the urban craft winery, 38 E. Winter St. in Delaware, has been doing the pairing every year since they opened in December 2017.

“We love to do wine pairings because they add an educational piece to our events along with heightening the flavors of both our wines and the cookies we use,” Bresler said. “Girl Scout cookies are delicious by themselves, so imagine how good they are paired with delicious wines.”

Bresler said they are most excited about the Sauvignon blanc and Lemon-Ups cookie pairing.

“It is a very complex pairing and one you would not expect to be as tasty as it is,” she said.

The winery will pair six Girl Scout cookies with six of their most popular wines. Guests will also learn how to properly taste wines. The event will be held at 1 p.m. March 13 and again at 6 p.m. March 14. Tickets will be sold until March 12.
