Mr. Hibachi, a fast-casual hibachi eatery, is now offering its wide-ranging menu to diners in the downtown area, as the eatery recently opened its third location at 250 N. 3rd St.

A local, family-owned business, Mr. Hibachi also operates restaurants in Linden (3761 Cleveland Ave.) and Powell (3889 Powell Rd.).

The eatery is open from 10:45 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed Sunday.

Mr Hibachi aims to provide affordable Japanese cuisine to the greater Columbus area. And that starts, naturally, with the restaurant’s line of hibachi entrees (referring to the Japanese heating element, typically a flat-top, used in the dishes), which are offered in varieties from steak and chicken to scallops and salmon.

The restaurant also offers fried rice dishes, and a handful of appetizers, including crab rangoon, egg rolls and chicken wings.
