New chicken wing eatery coming to campus area
Chicken Wing shortage or not, there’s a new wing spot coming to the campus area.
Wings on Lane, located at (you guessed it) 17 E. Lane St., in the heart of the University District, will be opening its doors soon, although the eatery hasn’t announced an exact date just yet.
The concept, which sells wings (both boneless and traditional) in a variety of sauces, but also offers an expansive menu outside of its namesake foods.

Wings on Lane also features everything from burgers and hot dogs (it evens offers a build-your-own hot dog option) to sandwiches, plus a litany of appetizers, including fried pickles and loaded nachos.
“Having worked in the food industry for more than 40 years, Wings On Lane owner and partners believe that the joy of casual dining lies in a restaurant’s ability to be many things to many people,” a statement from Wings on Lane reads. “We all love one that’s a delightful place to eat out with the family, hang out with friends, relax and have a drink, or enjoy watching a game while having a great meal. When we opened our family restaurant/lounge in Columbus, Ohio, we thought of creating a foodie place exactly like that.”
