Long-standing central Ohio pizzeria opening opening new location this month

Before January ends, the doors of the third Plaza Pizza will open to the public.

According to owners Ben and Brian Clagett, the eatery, which is located at 90 S. Main St. in Johnstown, will hold a grand opening celebration on Jan. 31. The event will include plenty of deals, free t-shirts for the first 50 customers, and even a mini Shirley Lou–Plaza’s signature dessert pizza, which features apple pie filling, a streusel topping and icing –with any purchase over $40.

The concept, self-described as the “best thin crust pizza in Ohio,” serves Columbus-style pizza, salads, subs, and even sugar and chocolate chip cookies. The new location will offer the same menu as other Plaza Pizzas.

The Clagetts purchased the original Plaza Pizza location in 2019, which has been open since 1971. They later opened another pizzeria in Heath.
