Historic Crew Stadium to be transformed by more than two million lights for unique holiday event

Jack McLaughlin

Even though the Historic Crew Stadium no longer hosts home games for the Columbus Crew, a new holiday installation is bringing match-day levels of excitement to Franklinton.

That’s because Magic of Lights is coming to Columbus for the first time ever.

The holiday installation, which will bring over two million lights across more than a dozen themed displays, will be held at Historic Crew Stadium from Nov. 23-Dec. 1. Tickets can be purchased here.

“We are always looking to provide different ways to bring family and friends together to experience our venues and hosting Magic of Lights at Historic Crew Stadium is a fun way to do that during the holiday season,” said Columbus Crew President of Business Operations Kristin Bernert in a press release.

The event will transform the Stadium into a vibrant and immersive holiday destination. It’s entirely drive-through, meaning visitors stay in their cars as they experience numerous installations, such as Magic of Light’s 32-foot Barbie, a monster truck display, the Snow Flurry Tunnel and many more.
